IBBM's 12th Graduation and Awards Ceremony 2009
IBBM celebrated its 12th Graduation and Awards Ceremony at the Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur on Saturday, 23 May 2009 with about 700 graduates and guests attending this momentous event. YBhg Tan Sri Dato' Sri Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz, Governor of Bank Negara Malaysia and who is also the Chairman of IBBM, officiated the ceremony.
This special occasion is both a graduation as well as an award ceremony. The Institute took this occasion to thank and recognize the contributions by individuals whom have shown and provided their full commitment for the betterment of industry.
The following outstanding individuals were elected to the roll of Fellow Members and Associate Fellow Members of the Institute:

This year the ceremony also acknowledged the inaugural batch of CCP graduates who have completed the Universiti Utara Malaysia Master of Science (Banking) Programme.
As part of the event, Ms Leong Sow Yoke, MIBM, from United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Berhad was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of services rendered over a 3-year period as a Member of the Certificate in Internal Auditing for Financial Institutions (CIAFIN) examination committee.
IIBBM's 31st Annual General Meeting (AGM) and the Akademi IBBM Sdn Bhd's (AISB) 11th AGM were also held at the same venue in conjunction with the Graduation and Awards Ceremony.

CCP is Now the Pathway to UUM's Master of Science (Banking)
IBBM is working hand-in-hand with Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) to offer its Master of Science (Banking) degree to IBBM's Certified Credit Professional (CCP) graduates.
The Master of Science (Banking) is a 36-credit hour programme. It consists of 12 post-graduate modules comprising 8 core courses (24 credit hours) and 4 elective courses (12 credit hours) at a tuition fee of RM380 per credit hour.
The entry requirements are:
- a recognised Bachelor Degree with Honours or equivalent with
- Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) not less than 2.75; or
- at least three years working experience at bachelor level; or
- Diploma holders who are 35 years of age and above; or
- other qualifications as may be recognised by the UUM Senate.
CCP bolsters its merit to its holders as they enjoy exemption in courses and reduced credit hours at a lower tuition fee. CCP graduates need only to complete the 8 core subjects and 1 elective subject (an exemption of 3 out of 4 elective subjects) totaling to 27 credit hours. Tuition fee, taking into account the exemptions, is at RM10,260.
The programme will be conducted at IBBM premises via the Akademi Perbankan Malaysia (APM), which is the training arm of Akademi IBBM Sdn Bhd (AISB). The first intake commences in June 2007.

IBBM's 11th Graduation and Awards Ceremony

The Institute will be holding its 11th Graduation and Awards Ceremony on Saturday, May 24, 2008 at the Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur . We have sent out individual invitations to all Year 2007 graduates of the various IBBM qualifications as well as prize winners (RSVP March 31, 2008) .
The Institute's Chairman, Tan Sri Dato' Sri Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz, will grace the ceremony and the Chief Executive Officers and Heads of Human Resources of financial institutions have been invited to the event. We look forward to celebrating the success of IBBM's year 2007 graduates and prize winners.
To graduates/prize winners who have confirmed your attendance at the ceremony, please take note of the following administrative details. These details will also be posted to you together with the confirmation letter by the third week of April 2008 .
